came back from the doctor's
my blood pressure is sky high.. so i'm put on a short dose of
medication for it...
the medication for the throat is pretty normal..
the doctor is paranoid coz a patient of hers had a stroke after
a coughing fit... he refused high BP medication and ended up with
the stroke.. so she's sending me home to rest for 2 days..
i'm going to see her again on friday about the effectiveness of
the medication
strange things uttered by her... she said that studies show that
cholesterol is genetic.. she's one of those with the short end of
the stick.. she's skinny as heck, ate healthy all her life and
exercises regularly... cholesterol sky high until she's on twice
the dosage of the statins i'm on to control it... only the morbidly
obese will have trouble with cholesterol as they are stuffing their
faces all the time...
my BP could be due to my throat being "narrower than normal"
which causes me to take more effort than normal people to
breathe... this taxes the heart.. and taxes the heck out of the
heart whenever i'm not well.. so she's putting me on BP
medication.. quite new stuff which has minimal to no side
effects...
i'm going home...
genetics is part of the equation, lifestyle factors is another.
and the definition of eating healthy can also differ depending on
who you talk to. look up the research on statins, the material
seems to suggest that they do more harm than good in the long
run.
